What is search.DataJournals?

A search engine to simplify locating data published in open access biomedical data journals.

What is a "data journal"?

Data journals are a means to share datasets and provide detailed information about the methods and instrumentation used to acquire the data.

What is searched in search.DataJournals?

To be included in this federated search portal, each journal’s search interface must allow searching across all fields, including data type, data description, materials, methods, instrumentation, data source location, and data accessibility. Four data journals currently meet this criteria: Data in Brief, Genomics Data, GigaScience, and Scientific Data.

Two of the journals, Genomics Data and GigaScience, include more than just data articles. Search limits are in place that prevent non-data articles from being retrieved and displayed in the search results.
