You can track the status of your document delivery requests by logging into the HSLS Document Delivery system.
Below is an explanation of status terms listed in alphabetical order.
Depending on your request, it may not got through all of these stages.
|Awaiting ALA Request Processing||After initial searching, it appears that the requested item is located at a University of Pittsbugh library or storage facility. HSLS Document Delivery staff is verifying its location.|
|Awaiting Copyright Clearance||All photocopy requests must be reviewed to determine if any copyright fees need to be paid. Under normal circumstances these fees, if required, are paid by HSLS, not the requesting customer.|
|Awaiting E-Mail Response||HSLS Document Delivery has sent you an e-mail about this request, and is awaiting your response.|
|Awaiting Extensive Searching||The requested item needs to be ordered from another library. Further searching is needed to locate a library to fill the request.|
|Awaiting Librarian Review
||HSLS Document Delivery staff are having difficulty locating a library to fill the requested material and/or the citation needs verified by a reference librarian.
|Awaiting Post Receipt Processing||The requested book has been received in HSLS Document Delivery and will be processed shortly.|
|Awaiting Return Label Printing||You have returned the requested book and HSLS Document Delivery will soon be processing it to return to the lending library.|
|Awaiting Request Processing||Once a photocopy request has been cleared for copyright permission, or once a patron submits a book request, it is put into this status. HSLS Document Delivery will begin processing shortly.|
|Awaiting Rush Request Processing
||The customer has agreed to pay additional rush or priority fees. HSLS Document Delivery staff will begin processing the request ASAP.
|Cancelled By Customer||You, the customer, have cancelled this request.|
|Cancelled By ILL Staff||This request has been cancelled by HSLS Document Delivery staff. If one of your requests is cancelled by the ILL staff, you will immediately receive an e-mail message explaining why the item was cancelled.
|Checked Out to Customer||The requested book loan has arrived from the lending library and has been checked out to you.
|Delivered to Web||The requested copy has arrived and the PDF file can be viewed or downloaded by logging in to your account and clicking the "Electronically Received Articles" button.
|In ALA Request Print Queue||After initial searching, it appears that the requested item is located at a University of Pittsbugh library or storage facility. HSLS Document Delivery staff is verifying its location.|
|Item Returned||The book has been sent back to the lending library.
|Request Finished||The entire request process has been completed successfully. Requests with this status are archived and can be viewed by logging into your account and clicking the "History Requests" button.|
|Request in processing||HSLS Document Delivery is actively working on this request.
|Request Sent||HSLS Document Delivery has located a library that may be able to fill this request. The request has been sent to this library, but they have not yet filled it.|
|Awaiting Unfilled Processing||HSLS Document Delivery has requested this item from multiple libraries, but so far no library can supply it. HSLS Document Delivery will try to identify additional libraries that claim to own the item and send the request to these additional libraries.|
