Falk Library will close at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov 30, and will remain closed on Friday, Dec 1, to allow HSLS faculty and staff to participate in a day of professional development. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, Dec 2.

The Group Study Rooms on Falk Library’s lower floor will be closed for upgrades from Monday, November 20 to Wednesday, November 22, and will remain closed for Thanksgiving recess from Thursday, November 23 to Friday, November 24. The study rooms will reopen for use on Saturday, November 25.
Group Study Rooms are available to Pitt users in the Schools of the Health Sciences with valid Pitt ID. They are only available by reservation, which can be made up to seven days in advance.
Falk Library will have modified hours from Wednesday, Nov 22, through Sunday, Nov 26. Hours will be as follows:

All HSLS digital resources will still be accessible during this time.
Use the Group Study Room reservation system to book one of the library's new group study rooms. Reservations are now required. Three large group study rooms and one small consultation room are available to Pitt users in the Schools of the Health Sciences with valid Pitt ID.
EZproxy will be undergoing system maintenance from midnight until 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 11. Expect disruptions to EZproxy services during that time.

Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy uses fresh, unembalmed specimens that retain the color, texture, and mobility of the living human body. Narrated by world-renowned anatomist Dr. Robert Acland, Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy is organized into 5 volumes by body region (Upper Extremity; Lower Extremity; Trunk; Head and Neck; and Internal Organs) and contains nearly 330 videos (for which individual links and PDF transcripts are available) showing a three-dimensional and rotational view of anatomical structures. The platform also includes a glossary, A-Z index, and self-assessment exams (which require a personal account).
Students and instructors may also find that the cadaver-based content of Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy complements the computer-generated content of Complete Anatomy (licensed by Pitt IT).
