RPBS -- a web resource for structural bioinformatics

What you can do:
Analyze and compare protein structures using a list of tools.
Highlights:
  • RPBS (Ressource Parisienne en Bioinformatique Structurale) is a resource dedicated primarily to structural bioinformatics.
  • Three such methods uniquely available at RPBS are AUTOMAT for sequence databank scanning, YAKUSA for structure databank scanning and WLOOP for homology loop modeling.
  • The tools can be used for:
  • Search -- identify a protein structure, using keywords, sequence, browsing structural classifications, or looking for a structure similar to another..
  • Editing -- generate or modify a structural file. Two levels are considered: protein backbone, and side chains.
  • Superposition -- Pour compare structures.
  • Analise -- analyze conformations, identify secondary structures, compute solvent accessibility, electrostatic potential, and define protein structural domains.
Keywords:
  • protein structure analysis tool
  • protein structure comparison tool
  • protein secondary structure prediction tool
  • protein electrostatic potential analysis tool
  • protein structural domain prediction tool
  • protein structural alignment tool
  • protein structure alignment tool
  • protein loop modeling tool
